The main downside to any of these bags is this: None of them are made from leather.

If full grain leather gets a scratch or gouge, polishing it turns the scratch into just another characteristic of the patina of the leather.
A good quality leather laptop bag will not show its age with the proper care. It is an investment, much the same way that your laptop is an investment. It helps to protect one of your most valuable tools while showing the world that you are a professional with professional, classy tastes.
You can certainly go to your local discount store and pick up an inexpensive one in which to keep your laptop. The question is why would you? Why buy what is basically a disposable case that will need replacing frequently and that will look like you got it at a discount store? Invest in a quality case that will both protect your investment and that will speak to your professionalism for years to come.
