Prewoven Kits: |
| Hand-caning is done on chairs that have holes drilled around the perimeter
of the seat and/or back. The seven-step is the most common method of hand-caning.
It is strong yet flexible and will last many years. There are other methods
which are mostly decorative and almost always used on backs because they
are not as strong. |

Prewoven cane or sheet cane is used when you have a piece of reed that
runs all the way around the sheet of cane, called the spline. |
